In collaboration with the Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS), The Avenues-Bahrain has launched a campaign during the holy month of Ramadan, aimed towards raising funds for providing adequate provisions and rations for families in need of food all over the world.

Believing in the importance of adopting a charitable and social initiative, The Avenues-Bahrain urges all its visitors to support the campaign which highlights that despite the fact enough food is being produced around the world, many underprivileged families around the world still struggle to provide adequate nutritious food for their family members.

According to World Food Program statistics, 815 million people sleep hungry every night and 33 percent of people suffer from malnutrition.

The “End Their Hunger” campaign encourages people to donate by participating in an artistic activity. An activation stand will be placed at The Grand Avenue, near Gate 3 – The Bay Gate where visitors will receive a white plate as a gift for donating BD5 or more, which they can decorate and paint on.

In recognition of the importance of art and its impact on inspiring communities, local Bahraini artists were invited to participate in the initiative. Painting over blank white plates, the decorative artwork of Mohamed Taha, Mohamed Bahrain, Hussain Isa, Ali Al Fardan, Yasser Al Dehi and Daweya Ebrahim will be displayed at the stand and given to those who donate generous amounts. The donations will be collected in the form of cash and electronic payments.

Showcasing his support, Mr. Mubarak Khalifa Al-Hadi, Director-General of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, praised the Avenues-Bahrain for their continuous efforts to develop strong community partnerships through their numerous initiatives and that the BRCS is pleased to use this gesture of goodwill to promote through its volunteers its social, charitable and humanitarian work. He also added that the BRCS looks forward to the ‘End Their Hunger’ campaign, giving the opportunity for all, especially youths and children to express their support for charitable causes.

The Avenues-Bahrain management is keen to adopt and support a number of community initiatives throughout the year, primarily humanitarian initiatives, under the social responsibility of Mabanee Bahrain, in cooperation with various civil society organizations. The Avenues-Bahrain is keen to position its shopping complex as the destination for such awareness campaigns.
