The first-ever Baby Games begin

The first-ever Baby Games started with more than 1,000 kids from 29 nurseries and 37 pre-schools in the fray.

It is organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee and is taking place at the Bahrain Volleyball Association Hall in Riffa.

This event  features four different sports – athletics, gymnastics, football and basketball, and targets 2 to 4 years children in an attempt to create an awareness among youngsters to practice sports exercises and promote the Olympic principles and values at a young age.

The games action will take place at the Bahrain Sports Federation for People with Disabilities, located at Isa Sports City in Riffa.

Organising Committee, headed by chairman Lounes Madene, had a technical meeting with representatives of the participants as well as the Education Ministry and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs at the National Stadium to explain the games rules and regulations to the participants.
