The 11th Middle East Jewellery of the Year Awards will take place on 23 November 2015 at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay under the patronage of His Excellency Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani the Bahrain Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

Initially conceived in 2005 by Arabian Watches & Jewellery Magazine to establish industry standards in the Middle East, the Awards serve to recognise and reward the best jewellery and fine writing instrument brand performers across 15 different categories. More than 300 guests are expected to attend the ceremony including international jewellery manufacturers, regional retailers and VIPs.

The Awards categories are: Best High-End Jewellery Collection, Best Diamond Studded Necklace, Best Colourful Jewellery Set, Best Fashionable Jewellery, Best Eastern Design Jewellery, Best Diamond Pen Collection, Best Iconic Jewelry Collection, Best Theme Jewellery, Best Red Carpet Jewellery Set, Best Pearl Jewellery Piece, Best Everyday Jewellery, Best Modern & Contemporary Pen Collection, Best Theme Pen, Best Arts & Craftsmanship Pen Collection and Best Historical Icon Pen Collection.

Winning Awards are selected by an independent 16 member committee comprising of veteran industry figures, designers and connoisseurs of jewellery and pens.

The 2015 edition of the Awards is held alongside the Jewellery Arabia exhibition, a regional meeting point for the international jewellery and watch community, which takes place from 24 – 28 November 2015 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Shaikh Mohamed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Chairman of Jewellery Arabia 2015 organisers Arabian Exhibition Management and Awards committee member said: “We are delighted that the Middle East Jewellery of the Year Awards is taking place alongside Jewellery Arabia 2015 once again. It draws the best and most representative talent from the industry, and over the years has become an independent voice of authority. The Awards also shed light on the importance of the Middle East luxury market, which is considered to be one of the fastest growing markets in the world.”

The Awards ceremony is sponsored by Qatar Airways, Majestic Rent A Car, Bahrain Specialist Hospital, Etisalcom Bahrain, Royal Ambassador Property & Facility Management Company, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Le Meridien and Westin Bahrain City Centre hotels.
