A jewel in the crown of the Kingdom, the luxury 5-star Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain invites travelers and guests for a month-long celebration to commemorate its 25th anniversary, The Silver Jubilee celebrations mark an exciting moment in the resort’s history and its contribution to hospitality excellence as well as the over 2 million memorable moments made over the last 25 years.
The journey of the 7-story flagship resort began on November 26, 1994 when it opened its doors as one of the first luxury beach resorts in the Kingdom. At that time, the resort was made up of 267 rooms and suites, and several restaurants including Primavera, Nirvana, Plantation Lounge, Burlington Club, La Mediterranee, The Ranch and Lobby Tea Lounge. In 2003, the resort was then re-flagged under legendary luxury hotel brand, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C., becoming the 50th Ritz-Carlton in the world and the fourth to open in the Middle East. Immediately elevating its offerings to become a notable choice for important regional and international conferences as well as being the hotel of choice for the region’s most elite clientele. The following year the resort added 23 luxurious three-bedroom, seaside Villas, each with their own private infinity pool, beach and 24-hour butler service.
Fast forward sixteen years to 2019, the 20-acre resort has now grown to include: The Ritz-Carlton Club® Level, with panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf; 12 award-winning restaurants with La Table Krug by Y being its latest edition to the portfolio of dining; a world-class Ritz-Carlton Spa; a state-of-the-art Royal Beach Club; private 16-slip marina; Ritz-Kids club; and over 90,000 square feet of meetings and conference space including the recent additions of the Masaya and Arena pavilions’.
A special event was held in celebration of The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain’s silver jubilee. During the celebration, hotel general manager Bernard de Villèle gave a speech while long-serving employees were honoured.
