On November 3, The #Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa is bringing Venice to Manama by opening up a new gastronomic experience that will truly be a favorite of the guests visiting the hotel. The former Boulevard Lounge, located between the main lobby and The Ritz Gourmet Lounge, will be transformed to Cafe Venissa and will entice gourmands from November 3 to December 31.
The concept of Cafe Venissa has been inspired by the famous Italian coffee shop, Caffe Florian, which was opened by Floriano Francesconi in 1720 and is the oldest coffee house in Europe. The significance of this concept is the chic and elegant Italian decor, combined with mouthwatering creations and impeccable service – simply the finest setting for an afternoon delight.
Cafe Venissa will excite its guests with a new menu, which reflects a selection of the most irresistible items of the original coffee house. Along with a choice of freshly squeezed juices, hot and cold coffee variations, diners can relish deliciously crafted dishes at any time of the day. Among the salads, the chef recommends the “Insalata Venissa”, which is a fresh composition of shrimps, cucumber, bresaola, cherry tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella. From the snacks, the chicken and radicchio di Chioggia sandwich accompanied with Venissa sauce is a must try. For those who prefer it more simple but authentic, the “Toast Venissa” which combines ham, cheese and Venissa sauce is the perfect option. As a sweet delight, the lemon merengue tart with raspberry sorbet is a beautiful signature dish that completes the exquisite dining experience.
Cafe Venissa will not only delight the taste buds, but also the visual senses. From the moment its guests step in, they will be carried to the enchanting era of Venice as they hear the classical music while being surrounded by a setting of inspiring decor. The artful details on the walls, reminiscing the interior of Caffe Florian, evoke Italian history of the 18th century creating a dramatic atmosphere for a traditional and authentic experience. Further to this backdrop, the legendary service of the Ladies & Gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain will add up to this fascinating culinary journey to Venice.
From November 27 until December 8, the spotlight will be on the band XY that will fill up the cafe with their enchanting music. XY is the original band of Caffe Florian and will be specially flying in to round up the traditional experience of the guests.
