Traveling this summer?.. Complete your Bahraini passport renewal via Bahrain.bh

Planning to travel this summer? Before you pack your suitcase and jet off, check your passport’s validity today to avoid any last minute stress… The National Portal (Bahrain.bh) got you covered with the ‘Passport Renewal’ eService.

Applying for a passport renewal can take time and efforts waiting in long lines. Well, that’s in the past!.. Here is what you need to know.. Bahraini citizens can smoothly renew their passports, pay the fees and enquire about the status of their renewal requests – all carried-out online without the need to physically apply for your transaction at the government entity’s service center.

Provided by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) in collaboration with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA); the highly accommodating service saves time and eases the renewal process for citizens and their family members (wife and children) what about parents? – considering they have the eKey log-in access. Once processed, applicants receive an SMS notifying them that their passports are ready for pick-up. Applicants are also required to bring their older passport in order to collect their newly-released one at the NPRA branch.

Registering for your eKey authentication only requires a simple single visit to one of iGA’s branches in one of three different locations – iGA’s Isa Town branch (Identity Card Center) from 8:00AM to 3:00PM; Bahrain Investors Center at the Financial Harbour from 8:00AM to 2:00 PM; or the Social Insurance Organization from 7:30AM to 1:00PM.

It is advised that you always leave plenty of time to renew your passport.
