If you just graduated from university, your next step might have a major impact on your career. With so many options to consider, it’s important that you have enough time on your hands to get things in order. The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), in partnership with several government entities, provides a host of eServices through the National Portal, bahrain.bh which can help you accomplish the necessary tasks.

One of the most notable eServices, ‘Endorsement of Local Qualifications’, is provided by the Ministry of Education. It allows graduates, whether citizens or residents, to track the status of requests for endorsement of certificates issued by higher education institutions in Bahrain. It also allows Human Resources departments of employers to verify the endorsements. The ministry also provides an ‘Accreditation of Abroad Qualifications’ eService, which allows for accreditation and validation of qualifications issued by higher education institutions outside the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Upon graduating from university, the ‘Update Civil Data Records’ eService which is available under the Identity Card Services section of the portal allows users to choose ‘Education Details Update’ from the dropdown menu and request changing their status from ‘student’ to ‘job seeker’ and attach the graduation certificate.

University graduates can also benefit from eServices provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD), including ‘Job Seeker Services’, which allow Bahraini citizens to manage a Personal File that can be used to apply for jobs and entitles them to insurance against unemployment.

Using the eKey, graduates can also submit employment requests to the Civil Service Bureau (CSB), update existing ones, or view vacancies.
