Many of us waste a huge amount of energy and water without being aware of how simple and easy it is to conserve both and utilize them in the best way possible!

By neglecting a small leak, the amount of wasted water is around 4 litres per hour which can be utilized in many ways including watering plants. Besides that, studies show that 10000 gallons of water is wasted yearly due to small leaks, this amount can be used to wash loads of laundry. Another disadvantage of not fixing water leaks is that every drop wasted per second amounts to 3,000 litres per year.

Not only that we waste a huge amount of water but we also consume a huge amount of energy due to lack of awareness regarding the positive practices that can be implemented to conserve energy for now and for the future.

The easiest way that can help us conserve energy is by switching off the lights during daytime and leave the curtains open to allow the sunlight in. Keeping your lights on during daytime can not only affect your electricity bill negatively but it has a huge impact on our environment by contributing to increased environmental pollution. To minimize that, one of the good practices is to install thermal insulations in building in order to help reduce the demand of electricity for cooling which can reduce the amount of polluting gasses produced by power plants into the atmosphere.
