VIVA Bahrain has extended its support to Bahrain’s senior community by donating a transportation bus to Dar Al Noor Welfare Elderly Center. The philanthropic act falls under VIVA’s Corporate Social Responsibility arm, VIVA Jusoor, and aims to facilitate entertaining activities and field trips for the senior members of the Center.

Shaikh Zeyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa, Chief of Government Affairs of VIVA Bahrain said, “Our nation’s elders are the cornerstone of our community and we’re very happy to embrace an opportunity to serve them. We hope this donation benefits Dar Al Noor Welfare Elderly Center and adds value to their comprehensive care-giving services.”

The elderly home is a part of Al Noor Charity Welfare Society and welcomes over 90 senior Bahrainis at its center located in Riffa. Various activities and classes for the members are held throughout the day including arts and crafts, Quran recitation, medical workshops, as well as daytrips to historical and cultural sites around the Kingdom – all of which will be endorsed by VIVA’s charitable donation.

Emphasizing on the value of serving the local community, Shaikh Zeyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa added, “We place great importance on making impactful connections with the local community, and developing strong meaningful ties with different age groups. It is a core business value here at VIVA Bahrain and a key driver of our success, which constantly has us looking for new ways to serve, develop, and empower the Bahraini community.”
