The Kingdom’s leading telecommunications provider, VIVA Bahrain recently sponsored Devfest 2019, the Bahrain edition of the globally-organized developer event hosted by GDG-Manama. The GDG also known as Google Developers Groups is a platform offered by Google Developers to support community-run developer groups and learn about Google’s technologies. This was the first time Bahrain hosted the GDG event in partnership with Economic Development Board (EDB) targeting the youth and entrepreneurs.
The event provided a platform for developers, well-experienced and upcoming, to gain insights about various platforms including Android, App Engine, and Google Chrome and products like the Maps API,YouTube API and Google Calendar API through a series of techtalks, hackathons and tech seminars. The event also hosted badge-a-thon competition, and sessions about technology, machine learning, Google Cloud and more.
At the event, VIVA Bahrain provided wifi coverage on its state-of-the-art network and showcased its vast portfolio of digital & software solutions catering to businesses of all sizes, to help tackle the daily operational pain points and boost business performance.
