VIVA Summer Internship Program kicks off for the 7th consecutive year

VIVA Bahrain, through its Corporate Social Responsibility arm, VIVA Jusoor, has kicked off its Summer Internship Program for the seventh consecutive year, providing local students an opportunity to attain extensive on-job training that complements their education.

The program involves Bahraini students ages 19 to 22 years old who will undergo professional and technical training through work-related projects and assignments for a period of two to three months starting from June. As a fast-moving and highly dynamic telecommunications company, the program is structured as a stepping-stone to students’ careers, providing recruits real-time exposure of the various departments including Human Resources, Technology, Finance, Government Affairs, Legal, Wholesale and Enterprise, as well as Commercial.

VIVA’s efforts fall under its commitment and long-term vision to empower local talent and develop the national workforce at grass-roots level. More than 40,000 internship training hours have been completed by students from national and International educational institutions through VIVA’s multiple talent development programs since 2011, including its previous Graduate Development Program which has earned regional recognition as the ‘Best Graduate Trainee Program across Middle East’ at the Annual Training & Development Awards 2013.
