VIVA volunteers through ‘Iftar Sa’em’ this Ramadan

Celebrating the Holy month of Ramadan, VIVA steps forward with various donations

VIVA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm, VIVA Jusoor, is all set to enroll in a variety of community-service activities, including food donations and water distribution, across the Kingdom, for Ramadan.

Activities organised include ‘VIVA Iftar Sa’em’, which was introduced last year, reaching out to thousands of people by donating iftar food boxes across work sites and local souqs in areas including Muharraq, Bab Al Bahrain, East Riffa, Isa Town and Hamad Town. VIVA will also be handing out water bottles at mosques during Taraweeh and Qeyam prayer times, as well as reaching out to necessitous families by arranging food parcels containing essential food items.

Speaking about the drive, Ulaiyan Al Wetaid, VIVA CEO, commented, “Our Ramadan initiatives for this year, echo last year’s success of our first community-driven ‘Iftar Sa’em’ initiative, which was supported by 70 external volunteers who joined efforts with ‘VIVA Hands’ team in their preparations for handing out the food parcels. This Ramadan, we also continue to keep this positive chain growing through our various food donation activities across labour camps and neighborhoods in an effort to ensure that everyone in the community can have a memorable and blessed Holy month.”
