About 2000 people attended a talk by world-renowned speaker and author Ravi Zacharias at the Asian School auditorium. The topic of his speech was “Foundations for Living.” The event was organized by YMCA and National Evangelical Church in coordination with Veritas Public Relations. It was held under the patronage of Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan, who delegated Assistant Under Secretary for Social Development Khalid Ishaq. Banagas chief executive Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa was a guest of honour.
Mr. Ravi Zacharias also spoke at a luncheon meeting at the Gulf Hotel. The topic there was ‘The problem of pleasure’. Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh, King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Co-existence vice chairperson Betsy Mathieson and Labour and Social Development Ministry representatives Eyad Taweel and Aesha Al Zayed also attended the function.
