Nominees from Bahrain had powerful presence at the first Middle East edition of the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, organised by Viacom and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT – Abu Dhabi). Bahraini talents were nominated for three award categories, including Favorite Gamer, Favorite Group and Favorite Female Artist.
Nominees include video game commentator, Ahmed Al Nasheet (Known as DVLZGame), for Favorite Gamer, Bahraini hip-hop artist Flipperachi for Favorite Group, and Bahraini pop star Hala Al Turk for Favorite Female Artist.
Voting for the awards is open to all fans via Nickelodeon’s online portal, and nominees are set to be announced on 20 September, as the first Middle East edition of the popular ceremony takes place in Abu Dhabi. The historical event is the result of a five-year agreement signed between DCT – Abu Dhabi and global broadcaster Viacom, the owner of Nickelodeon.

The hosting of the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2019 reflects Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a global entertainment hub and promoting itself as a premium destination for the family. Today, the city boasts a growing portfolio of family-friendly attractions and events including Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. The World of Nickelodeon and the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards are the latest global attractions to be added to that portfolio in 2019.
