Tired of waiting in line?.. Stressed you got no time to do paperwork and complete official government transactions?.. Utilizing the highest levels of security, confidentiality and quality of services; the Information & eGovernment Authority brings the entire process of issuing or renewing your  ID Card to where ever you are.. without the need to physically visit any of its branches (depending on your preferred delivery selection).

Available on the portal (Bahrain.bh), citizens and residents may take advantage of several online services related to their identity cards (CPR) by filling few details online then selecting the delivery method – either by post or personally obtaining them. Some of these services include issuing a new ID for children under four years of age along with domestic workers; renewal of identity cards for Bahrainis and non-Bahrainis; replacement of lost or damaged identity cards for locals and foreigners; together with enquiring about the status of a previously submitted request.

Other eServices comprise selecting a distinctive personal number for newborns by offering the choice of purchasing a unique number from three categories: Golden, Silver and Bronze. Others encompass booking an appointment with the ID Card Office to issue, renew or replace lost or damaged cards as well as enquire about or cancel a booked appointment. ID Card Offices are situated at the Isa Town and Muharraq (for Bahraini nationals) Mina Salman and Sihla (for expatriates) premises. Important information related to the cards have also been contained for users – information such as card validity, fees, centers working hours, updating addresses, amongst many others.

What is more, it is now possible for GCC citizens – residents and investors in Bahrain who meet the conditions and requirements and wish to obtain a Bahraini identity card  – to issue the card without making any prior appointments; in order to assist them when conducting their transactions at various service departments in the Kingdom.
