The real estate sector remains a pillar of the Kingdom’s economy even during the current situation. Bahrain is taking significant strides to keep the sector running smoothly, with a range of key tasks, from licenses to payments, now available online thanks to new eServices on the National Portal, bahrain.bh.

Launched by the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), in cooperation with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), the first phase of the New Real Estate Licensing System includes a batch of electronic services that allow you to finalize your online transactions quickly and securely, while maintaining social distancing. These includes services for brokers and sales agents, license applications, fee payments, application status inquiries, license renewals, and access to updated RERA lists of accredited licenses and documents for issuing or updating licenses.

The RERA system is integrated with the population registry system, Sijilat, the National Payment Aggregator (NPA), and all data related to real estate, making it very user-friendly.

The upcoming phases of the RERA licensing system will be launched soon, including services for other licensee categories, such as developers, property managers, and owners’ association managers.
