‘Your Talent at Home’ finals to take place on Saturday

The stage is set for the finals of one of the most unique competitions to take place this year following the Coronavirus pandemic outbreak “Covid-19” which is the “Your Talent at Home Championship”.

The finals of the event, held following directives of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and the Bahrain Olympic Committee President, will take place on Saturday.

The competition aims to support Bahraini youth and allow them to showcase their talent and skills during this exceptional period, where group events are at standstill because of the virus, taking into consideration the implementation of the guidelines and precautions announced by Team Bahrain, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and the National Medical Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Commenting, Head of the Media Committee of the event, Omar Al Selais, said: “The Organising Committee is all set to hold the finals, and we are confident that it will be a huge success in line with HH Shaikh Khalid’s ambitions. The event will be broadcast through a special T.V programme which will be presented by media personality Bader Mohammed.”

It’s worth noting that the “Your Talent at Home” event will cover acting, singing, shows, magic, strumming, painting and acrobatics. The event will feature two categories; the first one is for people aged 16+ and the other one is for 15-.

HH Shaikh Khalid ordered allocating prizes worth more than $60,000 for the winners, with the first-place winner in the seniors bagging $20,000, while $10,000 and $5,000 will go to the runner-up and third placed competitors of the same category. The winner of the juniors’ section will earn $15,000, while the second-placed will get $5,000, and the third-place will bag $3,000.
