Zain Bahrain partners with AIESEC youth group

Zain Bahrain, a telecoms innovator focused on enhancing customer experience, signed a one-year partnership with AIESEC, the world’s largest youth-run organization. This partnership comes as part of the telecom operator’s sustainable development strategy which aims to foster youth empowerment and development.

As part of the partnership, Zain Bahrain and AIESEC members participated in Zain’s Ramadan campaign, “Iftaar Saem” where they distributed meals to lower-income workers and families as a way of giving back to the community during the holy month of Ramadan. The operator also invited AIESEC members to deliver an assessment to 60 university students which involved different team building activities and leadership challenges to evaluate students’ employability skills.

Zain Bahrain supports the development of the youth segment as part of its strategy,” said Zain Bahrain’s Corporate Communications Manager, Samya Hussain. “Both organizations contribute towards entrepreneurship and leadership development, so we are pleased to collaborate with AIESEC and are confident that this partnership will add much value to our country’s youth.”

Zain Corporate Sustainability Manager, Pakiza AbdulRahman added: “We are launching up to four projects in collaboration with AISEC, UNIDO and the UNDP to serve the UN’s sustainable development goals. This comes as a continuation to the strategic alignment that Zain Group had established with the UN back in 2015.”
