Zain Bahrain promotes local start-ups through Eid Bazaar

Zain Bahrain, a leading telecommunications provider in the Kingdom, extended its support to local Bahraini entrepreneurs by hosting a Gudoo’e Al Eid Bazaar to celebrate the Eid Al Adha holiday. Held at the reception area of Zain Tower in the Seef District, the event witnessed the participation of 10 local start-ups and small businesses, with products on sale ranging from food, to Eid greeting cards, to other accessories for the Eid festivities.

Al Halwachi, Rose wa Jooz, Banana Sweet, Plus 965 Trading, Sufra, Cake & Bake, and Cookie Cadeau displayed a wide selection of traditional and international sweets and drinks to cater to all palettes, while Rozalya Flowers, PinkPotion and The Shape Factory showcased flowers, make up products and greeting cards respectively.

‘Gudoo’e Al Eid’ is a term used in Bahrain to describe the sweets, fruits and nuts served to visitors during Eid.

Zain Bahrain, through its ongoing Corporate Sustainability programme, continues to support local businesses and start-up projects in the Kingdom by helping them promote their products and services to a wider audience. The operator also currently hosts a branch belonging to the Bahrain franchisee of the Stockholm-based Wheelys café concept on a permanent basis at Zain Tower. In addition to its weekly ‘Khameesna Zain’ (‘Zain Thursdays’) start-up showcase, Zain Bahrain has hosted numerous other start up business at its premises over the years.
