Zain Bahrain, a leading telecoms provider in the Kingdom of Bahrain, extended its support to the GCC Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness Forum as a Platinum Sponsor, in line with its commitment towards supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of ‘Good Health and Wellbeing’.
The forum, organised by the MS Patients Society, aims to educate the community about this serious illness, which gradually destroys nerves and renders its victims too weak to walk. The public is also invited to attend a free awareness session on multiple sclerosis (MS), being held to support the forum, at Zain Bahrain’s Seef headquarters on Thursday, 16th March at 12pm. It will be presented by Mahmooed Al Balooshi, a coach and trainer, Aram Razouqi from Kuwait and Dalal Salem a TV presenter on Rotana, all of whom spoke about their battle with MS. Two other sessions were previously held at the University of Bahrain and the Bahrain Polytechnic in Isa Town.
Zain Bahrain Corporate Sustainability & Social Responsibility Manager, Pakiza Abdulrahman said: “MS is not very well understood; the nature of the illness means that patients require care from several specialist providers, which can result in long periods of suffering. As a socially conscious company, we would like to create more awareness among the public about this debilitating condition and spur the debate on what can be done to help people affected by it.”
