Zain Bahrain wins GCC Best Employer Brand Award

Zain Bahrain, a leading telecoms operator focused on innovation in customer experience, was recognized for its reputation as an employer of choice, being named among the GCC Best Employer Brand winners at the GCC Best Employer Brand Awards. The ceremony took place at The Address, Dubai Mall and was attended by Zain Bahrain management and staff, including Salah Abdulmajeed Al Kooheji, Manager, Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, Human Resources, who received the award on behalf of the company.

The term ‘employer brand’, coined in the early 1990s, refers to an organization’s reputation as an employer. Winners were chosen based on their distinctiveness in employee hiring, training, and retention, as well as their commitment to being a social and equal opportunity employer. Other criteria include the organization’s focus on innovation and learning, and development initiatives for employees.

Zain Bahrain HR Director, Dana Bukhammas said: “Zain Bahrain is committed to the development of its employees, and to ensuring that they are both trained to perform their duties and motivated to think outside the box. We are pleased that we are being recognized for our achievements in attracting and retaining the best employees in our industry. We promise to continue investing in programmes that will help them to continue developing their careers.”

The Awards are hosted by the Employer Branding Institute and Stars of the Industry Group, with CHRO Asia as a strategic partner. It is endorsed by the Asian Confederation of Businesses. Winners were selected by a jury of senior leaders, researchers and academicians conducting independent research to identify the Best Employer Brand in each GCC country.
