Following an incredible inaugural event in November, Zero Gravity is bringing back its boutique outdoor festival One Big Friday on Friday January 29, headlined by Duke Dumont.

Described as a “producer’s producer” in his early career, Duke Dumont exploded on to the dance music scene when his stellar track ‘Need U (100%)’ featuring A*M*E* topped several global charts. Since then, the British artist has released tune after tune with an ability to take over dance floors indiscriminately, including the Grammy-nominated ‘I Got U’ and the standout song of the season, ‘Ocean Drive’. Happier for his music to be labelled “deep pop” than “deep house”, this is a superstar DJ breaking genre boundaries, while on the road to even wider worldwide success.

Joining Duke Dumont on the One Big Friday bill are Norman Doray and Max Vangeli.

Fiercely passionate French DJ Norman Duray is a seasoned festival performer on a “seemingly never-ending tour” – having played ULTRA, Tomorrowland, Sunburn and Creamfields – and regularly pops up at Ministry of Sound in London, Ushuaia in Ibiza, Liv in Miami and XS, Las Vegas. He has co-produced with Arno Cost, Avicii and Tristan Garner, whilst remixing David Guetta, Dirty South, Laidback Luke and Toni Braxton, and his unrelenting dedication to electronic music has earned Doray the respect and backing of the industry’s biggest names.

From Moldova to Miami, Max Vangeli is the “master of emotive house anthems”. Be it uplifting remodels of Ellie Goulding’s ‘Starry Eyed’, edgier collaborations with AN21 or his own heady floor-filler ‘You & Me’, Vangeli’s dexterity for finely-tuned, multi-dimensional tracks has seen him become increasingly familiar with the Beatport charts, and enjoying a flourishing DJ career.

“We were disappointed after Duke Dumont’s unavoidable absence at our New Year’s Eve event, and made sure he could party with us as soon as possible,” says Peter Skudutis, General Manager at Zero Gravity. “He can’t wait to finally touch down in Dubai. This will definitely be One Big Friday.”

The first One Big Friday saw thousands flock to Dubai’s-most-talked about beach-side spot. Spanning a full 12 hours, from 3pm to 3am, Zero Gravity’s latest launch event features backto-back sets from international DJs and local artists, plus festival-inspired food stations and entertainment. One Big Friday is completely free to enter before 6pm, and AED 150 thereafter.
