On the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Kingdom University held its annual Ramadan Ghabga on Tuesday, the 14th of June, 2016 at ART Rotana Amwaj, in the presence of a large number of University faculty members and staff as well as alumni from different majors.
The Ghabga was commenced with a speech delivered by Professor Yusuf AbdulGhaffar, President of Kingdom University, in which he welcomed the attendees and extended his greetings on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, and emphasized on the importance of this initiative as part of the University’s strategy and its responsibility in reviving the spirit of team work among the faculty members and staff and strengthening relations with the alumni.
From his side, Dr. Abdulrahman Meero, the Deputy Vice President for Administrative Affairs, announced the launch of a media campaign that aims at spreading awareness about Kingdom University amongst students in the Kingdom of Bahrain and abroad on the high stature of the academic programs being offered by the University’s faculties, stressing on the University’s pride due to the vast knowledge obtained by the alumni, which enabled them to reach the highest of positions in the workplace.
During the ceremony, a video production titled “Enlighten your Heart with Faith”, compiled by the Community Partnership Team was screened. The video was produced by Kingdom University. Organizers of the event also held several competitions during the evening in which a variety of prizes and gifts were won by the attendees.
