As part of the  precautionary measures against coronavirus  and digital transformation strategy the Ministry of Interior announces 8 new online services launched in cooperation with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA); Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs; General Directorate of Traffic; General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science; and Customs Affairs to serve the public.

The bundle of services includes Visa services for visitors that provide extension request for any type of visa, viewing visa details & managing the requests easily online. This also may assist many expatriates in Bahrain who are unable to return to their home countries due to travel restrictions imposed from the corona pandemic. This service will help them to stay in Bahrain legally in the interim.

There is also the issuance of the good conduct certificate. Its permits anyone in Bahrain holding a valid ID card to request for the good conduct certificate, inquire on the status of certificate request and certificate validity verification. Usually these are requested by the public & private entities when changing jobs, going to study abroad, for training purposes, location entry permits and for submission to foreign diplomatic missions.

The customs affairs fees & taxes payment service provides business and customs clearing agents with a convenient way to pay for customs fees online saving time & effort.
