International Motor Trading Agency (IMTA), a subsidiary of K.E. Kanoo Group and the sole authorized dealer of MAZDA cars in Bahrain, has announced the launch of its new SUV, the Mazda CX-90. The elegant and comfortable SUV is the second model in Mazda’s Large Product Group that offers enhanced driving pleasure while maintaining safety and environmental standards.
The new CX-90 emanates a sense of vitality and beauty owing to Mazda’s KODO or “Soul of Motion” design theme. Visually appealing, the simple shape stems from the concept “less is more” while realising dynamic and majestic proportions. The interior is an expression of Japanese aesthetic throughout, incorporating the dynamism of light and natural materials to fashion an orderly and elegant space.
The power train mechanism is equipped with a new turbocharged 3.3-liter inline six-cylinder gasoline engine augmented by a 48-volt mild hybrid system making it a most powerful engine ever developed by Mazda, it gives horsepower of 345 PS and 369 lb-ft / 500 NM torque when using the recommended premium fuel. The new rear-biased AWD architecture offers evolutionary environmental performance while honouring the driver’s intentions.
The Driver Personalisation System uses a camera to detect the driver’s eye position, automatically adjusting the seat, steering wheel, Active Driving Display and door mirrors for comfortable positioning thereby optimum driving experience. It can recognize up to six drivers’ faces and restore their preferences from a database of over 250 settings.
CX-90 features thoughtful proportions that perfectly blend its high-performance appearance with world-class refinement. The CX-90 is the perfect family car that is suitable for long drives with a third row that features air conditioning vents and enhanced comfort with ample head and shoulder room for passengers. A well-crafted interior provides increased cabin space for families and ample cargo space to accommodate needs for any lifestyle. The large panoramic sunroof provides an expansive top view, drawing light and ensuring an airy feel to passengers in the entire cabin.
Co-developed with Bose®, the CX-90’s audio system boasts 12 speakers for crisp and clear, powerful sound. The unique Centerpoint2 surround system creates a focused three-dimensional sonic image from stereo sources. Additionally, AUDIOPILOT2 monitors ambient noise levels and adjusts the audio volume automatically.
With a safety-focused design, the use of higher-grade, high-tensile steel aims to protect occupants. Advanced Driver Distraction Warning System and advanced crash safety features make the CX-90 a safe drive. Furthermore, the engine hood configuration is optimized to minimize injury risks for pedestrians in the unfortunate event of a collision. Equipped with a large active driving display, the 360° View Monitor with See-Through View, intuitively discerns information necessary for vehicle operation supporting safe vehicle operation for the driver’s peace of mind.
Designed for convenience when your hands are occupied while the key remains in your pocket or bag, the hands-free power-lift tailgate allows you to open and close the tailgate with a light kick beneath the sensor located under the rear bumper.
The 21-inch diamond-cut aluminium wheels feature a black metallic finish with a modern look and high-quality feel to accent the CX-90’s bold and elegantly commanding SUV presence. Additionally, it is fitted with Mazda approved tyres.
