Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C (Alba), the Bahrain-based international aluminium smelter, continues to focus on maintaining its safety momentum during the Holy Month of Ramadan through daily after-Iftar safety visits to shop-floor employees around the plant.
Throughout the Holy Month, members of the Executive Management along with Directors and Managers have been visiting different operational areas with the aim to increase safety awareness amongst Alba employees and contractors, to keep healthy and hydrated as well as boost their morale especially in the hot summer months.
Commenting on the visits, Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray, said:
“We truly believe that by spending more time with our co-workers during the Holy Month, we will not only have the opportunity to appreciate their efforts but also assume our joint responsibilities to take Alba to the next level of safety.
These visits provide the opportunity to communicate directly with our people which in turn foster the one-family spirit in Alba.”
After-Iftar safety visits are part of the Company’s continuous efforts to elevate Safety to the next level – Safety Tomorrowland – in line with the CEO expectations for 2017.
