Bahrain Entrepreneurship Organization Inaugurates with Vision 2030 Goals

Under the Patronage of His Excellency Mr. Zayed Alzayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, the Bahrain Entrepreneurship Organization held its inauguration event at the Arcapita building in Bahrain Bay.

Speaking at the launch, Chairwoman Feryal Abdulla Nass said “BEO will provide an environment that promotes innovation and the exchange of experiences in the economic field. It will also support the development of the economy as well as to enhance and encourage competitiveness.  Finally, it will provide new opportunities to develop the capabilities of young entrepreneurs in the fields of innovation and creativity.”

She added, “This will contribute towards achieving the objectives of Bahrain’s Vision 2030 and to diversify sources of non-oil income of the national economy.”

Mrs. Nass introduced the organization’s objectives at the event, which seeks to encourage young entrepreneurs to enter into various fields of business in particular those pertaining to the Environment via Solar Energy and Green Technologies as well as being an accelerator for Exports.

“We have set up BizGrow to be the accelerator and along with the invaluable assistance of various government bodies as well as coordinating with International exportation experts, we aim to embrace and further advance young entrepreneurs that are ready to export their products or services globally” Nass stated.

BEO is organized into various subcommittees that include the Built Environment, Human Development, Health Sciences, Media, Retail, and Culture, Tourism, and Hospitality.

Mrs. Nass thanked the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism for his patronage of the event. She also thanked the organization’s sponsor, Tamkeen, and other strategic partners.

The event was well attended by Ambassadors, Diplomats, Senior Government Officials, Business Stakeholders, the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Senior members of the business community.
