Best Buy to sell Apple Watches from August

The Apple Watch will be available at Best Buy retail stores from August 7. As the first major retailer in the U.S. to sell Apple’s smartwatch, Best Buy will initially stock more than 100 stores before expanding to more than 300 in time for the holiday shopping season.  Customers will be able to buy the Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch, along with a range of accessories for the wearable device. However, the Apple Watch Edition (the one that costs $10,000 and is gold-encased) won’t be available for purchase.

The new retail channel will be good news for people interested in trying out the smartwatch and will give Apple an opportunity to reach more people and convince them to buy its product over an Android-powered version.
