Ebrahim K. Kanoo delegation visits the new Body and Paint Training Centre

A delegation from Ebrahim K. Kanoo, the exclusive distributor of Toyota and Lexus in the Kingdom of Bahrain, paid a visit to Al Jabriya Industrial School to inspect the school’s new Body and Paint Training Centre, which the company is sponsoring. The first of its kind among the Kingdom’s industrial schools, it now provides an additional avenue for the school’s students to develop their skills. An official inauguration for the facility, officially called the Ebrahim K. Kanoo Body and Paint Training Centre, will be announced soon.

Kanoo delegation was headed by Director of Corporate Services, Talal Fuad Kanoo and also included Toyota Body Service Center Senior  Manager, Ebrahim  Akbar, Operations Manager – Body & Paint, Marc Bush, Kaizen Manager – Body & Paint, Abdulelah Burashid, and Manager – Learning & Development, AbdulAmeer Darwish. The delegation was welcomed by Ministry of Education Assistant Undersecretary for General and Technical Education, Latifa Isa Al-Bunudha and Technical and Vocational Education Director, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Razzaq Al Siddiqi. They were also welcomed by school Principal, Redha Ali Alawi and Acting Head of Vehicle Body and Paint Section, Fadhel Sahlan.

Talal Kanoo explained that, in line with the directives of its Chairman Mohammed Ebrahim Kanoo, the company has been building a strong relationship with the ministry, and this school in particular, since 1986.

“This is an important corporate sustainability initiative for us, which helps prepare and train Bahrainis for the needs of the Kingdom’s marketplace,” he continued. “We hope that this centre will contribute to raising the maintenance and safety standard of the entire automotive sector in Bahrain.”
