Enjoy Ramadan and be served by (Islamiyat) App

In parallel with the  Ramadan vibes and activities, the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) offers the time to live and enjoy the month’s holy spirit, by benefiting the public with the ‘Islamiyat’ app which provides substantial related services and information during Ramadan .

Available on the eGovernment Apps Store (Bahrain.bh/apps) for both Android/iOS users and the National eGovernment Portal (bahrain.bh); the Islamiyat eServices keep users well-informed, and constantly engaged with the Islamic related activities.

Provided in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs & Awqaf, the app embraces a range of Islamic services such as the ‘Ramadan Majalis Locator’  an inclusive directory, available during Ramadan only, of 460+ daily and weekly Majalis held all over the Kingdom of Bahrain. The directory includes all the Majalis names, contact details, the ability to locate the desired Majalis, as well as search for the nearest Majlis to the user.

The application also provides all-year-round services, such as ‘Zakat’ feature which enables users to calculate and pay their Zakat for charity projects verified by Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Awqaf. Others include ‘Prayer Timings’ feature which provides accurate prayer times of when to break fasting, alarm for prayers along with a compass for ‘Qibla’ direction. In addition to other useful services such as the directory of ‘Hajj & Umrah’ – agencies including their contact and addresses details of any pilgrims wish to select from; together with ‘Mosques Locator’ which assists in locating all the Mosques and Islamic Centers in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

On this occasion, iGA announced its working hours during Ramadan as customers may need to visit any of the Identity Card service centres located in Isa Town, or Seef Mall Muharraq, or Mina Salman branches during business days Sunday-Thursday from 8AM-2:45PM. The ‘Addresses Section’, situated in Isa Town, opens from Sunday-Thursday from 8AM-2:00PM.
