Bahrain Cinema Company, market leaders in the entertainment industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain, opened its new 6 screen Cineplex in Wadi Al Sail Mall in Riffa to the public on Thursday, the 14th of April 2016.
On the first day of the start of its operations in Wadi Al Sail Mall, Bahrain Cinema Company invited members of the local media for an exclusive tour of the new facility and to enjoy a wonderful experience of a movie night in one of its most technologically advanced theatres.
The new Cineplex has substantially increased the total investment of Cineco in the Kingdom of Bahrain by BD 2 million and is part of the company’s extensive expansion plans, thus further consolidating its current position as leaders in the entertainment industry in Bahrain.
On this occasion, Dr. Esam Abdulla Fakhro, the Chairman of the Board of Bahrain Cinema Company (Cineco) said: “It gives me great pleasure to announce the opening of the new Cineplex in Wadi Al Sail Mall. We at Cineco, stride towards constantly increasing our growth through the introduction of a nation-wide network of Cineplexes and the opening of this new Cineplex comes in line with our expansion plans. Currently we have presence in five locations in the Kingdom, namely Seef Mall, City Centre, Al Jazira (Muharraq), Saar and Al Hamra (Gudaibiya), and the most recently opened Cineplex in Riffa, brings the total number of our locations to six. We are also proud to state that Bahrain Cinema Company now owns and operates a total of 49 cinema screens in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
“We will also be opening a new branch of the Rendezvous restaurant very soon at Wadi Al Sail Mall, bringing the total number of branches of this highly popular venue to three in the Kingdom. We look forward to bringing our high quality movie screenings closer to our valuable customers and to offer them a movie going and dining experience like no other”, Dr. Esam Fakhro added.
From his side, Mr. Ahmed Rashed, the Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Cinema Company said: “Over the years, we have witnessed a rise in the number of movie goers at our existing locations, which at times have led to movie tickets being totally sold out. Hence, the decision to introduce the new Cineplex in Wadi Al Sail Mall was based on strategic elements due to its location in Riffa which makes it well placed to cater for movie goers from Riffaa and its neighboring areas. Therefore, the new Cineplex realizes our vision in providing our customers with the privilege of watching their favorite movies closer to their homes, at the same time spreading our presence in more area all over the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

The new Cineplex has a total capacity of 724 seats, including 89 VIP seats, encompassing the latest in technological advancements in the global entertainment industry. Whereas, the new Rendezvous restaurant, will be able to accommodate up to 138 guests and will offer a premium continental cuisine buffet spread perfectly suited for families after a shopping spree or watching a movie at the Cinema, for both lunch and dinner.
Cineco operations include the management of a large number of cinemas and restaurants within Bahrain and the G.C.C. Countries.
