Awali Ballroom is located on the ground floor of the hotel and boast a spacious pre-function area.  Italian terracota tiled floor and traditional Arabic décor in a neutral colour palette, palatial arches engraved with fine mosaic, carved mahogany wood paneling and a twin tent roof with stunning wrought iron chandeliers creates a distinct and sophisticated ambience.

Every year, Sheraton Bahrain Hotel hosts Ramadan Iftar at Awali Ballroom and caters to over 5000 guests. Their Iftar is popular among locals and guests from Saudi Arabia due to its very traditional ambience and great selection of food.

For 2016, a variety of set menus have been carefully planned for the month-long Iftar. Meticulous attention has been given to ensure that at every Iftar, guests can break their fast with a refreshing drink from a diverse range of juices on the offer, followed by a with a full-course meal with different kinds of hot and cold mezza, salads, exotic main courses, a choice of different types of breads, soups, and so on. While live shawarma stations have been arranged to boost your culinary experience, a selection of preparations in the main course like smoked salmon or gravlax, fish terrines, meat or chicken terrines, stuffed eggs, stuffed tomatoes, and vegetables roulade are delicately balanced to stimulate your appetite and sate your hunger in the best possible manner.

The sweet endings to this wholesome Iftar is ensured by a large number of desserts to choose from, which include amongst others, crepes with various fillings& ice cream,  fresh fruit salad, traditional Arabic sweets (optional), kunafa, legamat, katayif, zunidest, halwa with nuts, baklava, kamfaroush, layali labanan, bahalashan, asida, halwa, sago, basboosa, rangina, mahalabiya, Umali, Indian sweets, small assorted cakes, French pastries and cream caramel.
