A month-long leadership development program empowering young changemakers have been announced. RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) 2024 is spearheaded by the Rotary Clubs of Bahrain, with the support of the Capital Governorate.
The launch ceremony took place at the University of Technology Bahrain.
RYLA brings together exceptional young leaders aged 14-18 for a transformative journey. Over the course of a month, participants will dive into interactive workshops, engage in impactful community projects aligned with Rotary’s seven areas of focus, and receive invaluable mentorship from seasoned Rotarians.
“RYLA 2024 is more than just a program; it’s a catalyst for youth-driven change,” says Mohamed Al Haddad, RYLA Bahrain 2024 Chair.
“We’re equipping young leaders with the skills and resources to tackle critical challenges in our communities, from promoting peace and environmental sustainability to fostering economic development and improving healthcare access. Witnessing their passion and potential ignite is truly inspiring.”
RYLA Public Image Chair Faisal Juma who was also the Master of Ceremonies welcomed the audience and the speakers were DDG Amira Ismail, DRR Melia Haddad, and Mr AlHaddad.
Under the guidance of RYLA Leadership Trainer Reem Marhoon participants were allocated into groups based on community development topics that are themed on the Rotary seven areas of focus. The groups started working on their inspirational projects to improve the community.
RYLA 2024 Highlights:
