Bahraini athlete Shaikha Al Shaiba accomplished another personal achievement after she successfully completed the France Marathon. Held in France’s capital Paris, the Bahraini participant covered the race’s 42 km in six hours and 20 minutes, defying her disability and setting a great example of not allowing an impairment to be a success barrier.
After the race, Al Shaiba confirmed having the privilege of constant support from
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports who has been an inspirational person for her successes and desire to overcome any challenge she faces. “HH Shaikh Nasser’s words during my meetings with him are cemented in my mind.
They are a source of motivation,” Al Shaiba said, thanking HH Shaikh Nasser for following her all the time. “My participation in the France Marathon did not come out of a vacuum. It was thanks to the support of HH Shaikh Nasser as well as my family and my fans. It was a tough event, but I gave my all to complete it,” she concluded.
