Southern Governor holds virtual Majlis

Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa met  through his virtual Majlis with a number of citizens from the governorate, in the presence of his Deputy Brigadier Isa Thamer Al Dussari and a number of officers and officials.

The Southern Governor welcomed the audience, stressing the importance of the virtual Majlis as an electronic communication platform to promote social links between the governorate and citizens. He described the approach as a boost to the valuable directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, praising the support of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.

The Southern Governor stressed the governorate’s keenness to cater to citizens and residents’ needs and optimize services provided for them to meet their aspirations. He pointed out the role of the weekly Majlis in highlighting cooperation with the civil society institutions, activating social partnership and assessing citizens’ needs to go ahead with sustainable development. He got informed about progress in implementing services and development projects all over the governorate to meet citizens’ needs. He also praised the efforts of the security officers and their cooperation with the Southern Governorate in combating the coronavirus (COVID-19) by taking part actively in a series of initiatives and purposeful programmes aimed at boosting awareness and taking preventive measures.

The audience lauded the outstanding role of the Southern Governor, praising his efforts to enhance cooperation and coordination with various parties to cater to people’s needs and promote the developmental and civlisational march in the Southern Governorate.
