The world-class digital enabler, stc Bahrain has collaborated with Etijah Coaching and Consulting Services, a local company focused on human capital development, to introduce stc Bahrain’s first Virtual Internship Program. Taking forward the company’s commitment to nurture local talent, stc Bahrain’s Virtual Internship Program is a unique ‘work from home’ engagement platform providing students and recent graduates the opportunity of real-time experience of working in a corporate world from the safety of their homes.
The two-month online internship program will have a group of aspiring youth benefitting from the opportunity to gain experience at stc Bahrain in line with the ‘on-the-job’ training guidelines set by the local universities. Focused on the concept, ‘learning through the reflection of doing’, the stc Bahrain Virtual Internship program will enable the youth to apply academic knowledge to practical use, inculcate professional attitude, engage in networking to build professional relationships, and on a personal level, develop self-confidence and social skills and most importantly, identify potential career paths.
Commenting on the collaboration, Eng. Nezar Banabeela, CEO stc Bahrain said, “The collaboration with Etijah is in line with stc Bahrain’s corporate social obligations that focuses on community development with education being an integral part of it. We’re delighted to extend our support towards developing the future Bahraini workforce to gain important knowledge and marketable experience in their area of study.”
Adding further he said, “Given the current circumstances, we are introducing a special virtual internship program to have students continue to experience e-learning and get a complete induction into remote working in the corporate world.
