The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain announces the launch of a new pop-up restaurant named Vivir. The exciting addition brings the fourth offering to a series of pop-up concepts on the famous alfresco venue, Nikmati, making the five star property the most sensational multi-national gastronomic hub in the Kingdom of Bahrain serving sumptuous cuisines from all over the world.

Vivir, meaning “to live”, is run by Madrid-born Spanish Chef Miguel Martinez, all the way from The Ritz-Carlton Abama in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. A true craftsman, Miguel has acquired a deep knowledge and understanding of the culinary process working in several one and two Michelin-starred restaurants over the years such as “Tragabuches”, “El Club Allard”, “DsTAGE” with rising star Chef Diego Guerrero, “Hoja Santa” with Chef Paco Mendez, “Dani Garcia”, and most recently at the two-starred Michelin restaurant “M.B” with Chef de Cuisine Erlantz Gorostiza, under the twelve-starred Michelin Chef Martin Berasategui.

On the occasion, General Manager, Bernard de Villèle, commented “In our perpetual pursuit to provide memorable experiences to our valued guests and members, I am proud to announce that, in collaboration with our sister property in Spain, The Ritz-Carlton Abama, and under the guidance of renowned Michelin-starred Chef Martin Berasategui, we are launching yet another unique concept at our beachside venue, Nikmati, making Vivir the fourth among a series of successful culinary events since we opened our first pop-up in 2020, in which the main objective is to keep providing our guests the opportunity to experience different cultures and tastes through a gastronomic journey without ever leaving the island in this unprecedented time.”

Vivir’s special menu takes inspiration from Spain’s rich culinary heritage and features signature tapas such as Croquetas; traditional crispy béchamel oxtail stew, and Andalusian-style squid; fresh squid fried in tempura with citrus alioli. The Chef’s special, Paella Valenciana, is one of the best-known dishes in Spanish cuisine and is made of Spanish rice “Bomba”, chicken and vegetables. For an after-dinner treat, creative libations include a selection of Sangria and signature beverages like Tinto de Verano and Brisa de Ibiza.

Each table’s centerpiece is adorned with floral arrangement that complements the garden setting.

Vivir pop-up will run from March 7 – April 10, 2021. Open daily except Sundays, 3 pm to 11 pm.

Set within 20 acres of lush gardens and golden sandy beaches on the Gulf of Arabia, the 245-room five-star city resort is one of the most elegant destinations in Bahrain. A place where guests can immerse themselves in the local culture, enjoy extraordinary cuisine and explore the dazzling capital city of Manama.
