Zain Bahrain, a leading telecommunications provider in the Kingdom, was recognised at a Social Media Club Bahrain awards ceremony for its pioneering contributions to social media. The event’s patron, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, presented an award to Zain Bahrain Director of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa on the occasion of Social Media Day.
“The club’s assessment of social media accounts in Bahrain recorded Zain Bahrain as having one of the highest levels of engagement and followerships in the Kingdom on Instagram, Twitter and other networks,” said Club President Ali Sabkar. “Zain Bahrain offers innovative content presented through a well thought out strategy that includes high quality imagery and graphics, and messages that connect with customers and the public.”
Shaikh Abdulla said that Zain Bahrain’s digital media strategy is part of a larger effort to engage with all its stakeholders, and keep them informed of new products and services, as well as developments in the operator’s corporate sustainability (CS) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
