A thrilling finish to stc Bahrain backed first FIFA 23 eSports ‘Battle of the schools’ tournament in the Kingdom

In a thrilling finale to Bahrain’s first FIFA 23 eSports tournament, Battle of the Schools’ hosted by stc Bahrain in partnership with the Bahrain Schools and Collegiate Athletic Association (BSCAA), 16 young gamers, have emerged winners of the prize pool of US$ 20,000. The large-scale gaming competition that attracted participation from over 100 schools and 670 avid gamers witnessed 32 finalists vying for the top position of the Best FIFA 23 player with their highest set scores in the grand finale that took place at the Avenues Mall. 

The exciting tournament culminated with a grand presentation ceremony presided over by Shaikh Sager Bin Al Khalifa, President – BSCAA, Eng. Nezar Banabeela, stc Bahrain CEO with top three winners, Abdullah Habib, Mohammed Muneer and Jibreel Rais, awarded with prize money of US$10,000, US$3,800, US$2,000, US$1,000 and US$400 each respectively as part of the combined prize pool of US$20,000. Winner who earned fourth place was awarded US$1,000 while winners from fifth to eighth place were awarded US$400 each. Winners who ranked between ninth and sixteenth place each received US$200 as prize money.
