Adherence to precautionary measures national responsibility

President of the Supreme Council of Health and Chairman of the National Medical Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus (COVID-19) Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, has called on everyone in Bahrain to assume their national and social responsibilities through full adherence to the precautionary health measures recommended by the relevant authorities so as limit the spread of the pandemic.

He stressed the importance of full commitment to the measures announced by the Government Executive Committee, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, urging the citizens and residents to limit gatherings to members of the same household and close social circle for a duration of two weeks until 1 October.

He underlined the importance of limiting social contacts, wearing masks, limiting outings to necessities, and strict observance of social distancing measures in reducing the infection rates.

He affirmed the need to support the frontline medical and nursing staff through full compliance with the precautionary health measures to limit the spread of the pandemic.

He stressed that the resumption of normal life requires everyone to be committed to the high national interests and not to be complacent in implementing the measures in force.
