Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the Bahrain-based international aluminium smelter, successfully held recently a one-day specialised leadership course titled ‘Boss versus Leader’ for its Middle Management team at Alba Club.
‘Boss versus Leader’ was designed and delivered by Alba’s Chief Executive Officer Tim Murray initially for the Executive Management team then was cascaded to 1st and 2nd line management staff. Thus far the training has covered over 150 people. During the course, many well-known case studies on sports coaches as well as historical sporting incidents were discussed.
Speaking at the occasion, CEO Tim Murray said:
“We believe that what differentiates us from the rest of the competition is the quality of our people. This workshop was designed in house and is a powerful example of our commitment to developing leaders from within the company. Coaching our people is a top priority and it is a gift, which should be cascaded down to all levels of the organisation”.
