The new service, launched by the Bahrain Credit Reference Bureau – operated by The BENEFIT Company in collaboration with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), and the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), aims to make the process of issuing credit reports as quick and seamless as possible for clients, while also cutting down considerably on costs and operational expenditure.
The credit reports provide a summary of the credit information and financial obligations, making them essential to a range of dealings.
Users can simply visit Bahrain.bh, login with their eKey (Standard level), and choose ‘Generate Credit Report’, where they will be prompted to enter their personal details mo- bile number and email. An email will be sent to the user with the credit report and an OTP sent to the user mobile to use it as a password to unlock the report sent. Once unlocked the report will be downloaded and can be saved.
The use of the eKey means the transaction is entirely secure, ensuring your documents are kept confidential throughout the pro- cedure. Users can register for the Standard eKey on the National Portal, which will allow them to benefit from its numerous other ser- vices as well.
