As part of ‘Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism 2016‘ calendar of events that is organised by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, the first ever ‘Bahrain Light Festival’ will be hosted at Al Fateh Corniche in Manama starting from 5 May until 9 May 2016.
This festival will introduce the latest innovations in lighting by showcasing the works of international contemporary artists that are participating in the event. The outdoor festival will include technical artistic dynamics in addition to remarkable artistic performances.
The walkways of the Corniche will be decorated with the light installations that will transform the Corniche and the capital Manama into a beautiful light haven. An outdoor theatre will also be set to host the live light shows presented by international artists.
Commenting on this event, Shaikh Khaled Bin Humood Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority: “Bahrain Light Festival is considered to be a distinctive event which was never hosted before in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
“We expect a high demand for this upcoming event from different audiences, as it is suitable for all age groups. We also hope that this event will reflect a new aspect to Bahrain and boost attractions for tourist coming to the Kingdom to participate in various events held throughout the year.” He added.
It is said that that the Bahrain Light Festival the first of its kind that will provide an amazing journey in the latest light innovations and entertainment happening daily between 5 until 9 May 2016 from 6pm till 11pm.
