Bahrain Specialist Hospital celebrates its Anniversary

Bahrain Specialist Hospital celebrated 16 years of operations in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The idea of establishing a world-class medical facility, providing advanced treatment and outcomes for the people of Bahrain and the wider region is at the core of the hospital’s mission. In seeking to fulfil this purpose, Bahrain Specialist Hospital has sought and maintained international accreditation for quality and patient safety as BSH was the first hospital in Bahrain to achieve the highest standards of accreditation by the Joint Commission International from the United States which is the world renowned organization that accredits healthcare facilities worldwide.  In addition, BSH  brought advanced equipment and high calibre medical professionals across major specialties.

In order to further propel Bahrain Specialist Hospital’s reach and improve access to advanced services, BSH announced a collaboration with Apollo Hospitals on a visiting doctor program to benefit from their extensive world-wide experience and expertise here in Bahrain. This inaugural visit brings senior surgeons specializing in Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, and Organ Transplant to showcase the depth of possibilities from this collaboration between our two organizations. On October 13th and 14th, Apollo Hospitals’ visiting medical team held clinics within Bahrain Specialist Hospital where the two teams worked as one to see patients and plan appropriate treatment.

As part of their visit, the three consulting surgeons from Apollo Hospitals participated at a continuing medical education (CME) session sanctioned by the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA). At the session, open to all members of the medical community in Bahrain, advances in the fields of orthopaedic, neuro-spinal, and liver transplant surgeries were discussed and shared with the group.
