His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, attended the signing ceremony of an agreement between Bapco Energies, the integrated energy company leading the energy transition in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) and DP World Tour 2024, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in February.
The MoU was signed by Mark Thomas, Group Chief Executive of Bapco Energies; Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of BOC; and Tom Phillips, representing DP World Tour.
Mark Thomas expressed pride in sponsoring the DP World Tour Bahrain Championship, one of the most prestigious golf events in the world. He highlighted the significance of supporting Bahrain’s youth and sports sector and contributing to the tournament’s success.
Al Kooheji emphasised the significant impact of Bapco Energies Group’s sponsorship on the success of the 2024 DP World Tour, expressing pride in their continued commitment to supporting the sports sector.
On his part, Phillips welcomed the signing of the agreement, adding that this partnership will contribute significantly to the success of the tournament hosted by Bahrain.
