BBK , Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, has been awarded ,for the fifth consecutive year, the Best Retail Bank in Bahrain by Global Banking and Finance Review in recognition for its continued commitment to excellence in retail banking.
BBK chief executive Reyadh Yousif Sater described the recognition as confirmation of BBK’s status as Bahrain’s leading provider of Retail products and services.
“We are proud of this independent evaluation by an international publication on the quality of Retail Banking Services” he said. “This award confirms the value of the investments in the innovation and enhancement of our Retail Banking Services and the expansion of the Bank’s network within the Kingdom aiming to ensure convenience for our customers. Nevertheless, our commitment to employee growth and development through e-learning, leadership development and Retail Banking Certifications is one of the main foundations of the Bank’s success. In addition to investing in technology which enabled the Bank to facilitate banking transactions via the various service delivery channels. Our commitment to Retail Banking is reflected the Bank’s strategic vision, organizational structure and strong Risk Management which contributed to an outstanding performance for the year, Retail Banking contributing a significant 36 % to the net profit ”.
The awards honour companies that stand out in particular areas of expertise in the banking and finance industry. The criteria considered for retail banking include profitability, market share, customer relations and product innovation. BBK was selected as this year’s Best Retail Bank in Bahrain because of the company’s outstanding achievements and dedication to Retail Banking and by performing well in the categories set by judging panel.
