Bahrain International Circuit’s (BIC) annual National Day Festival kicks off in style on Wednesday evening, celebrating the Kingdom of Bahrain’s 45th National Day and His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.
The four-day event is scheduled to be held until Saturday, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
Doors will be open on each day from 4pm until 10pm. Tickets cost only 500 fils and they can be purchased at the gate.
Meanwhile, BIC has announced that Kuwaiti superstar singer Abdulla Al Rowaishid will be performing live on the final day of the festival.
Al Rowaishid is part of a line-up of regionally renowned artists who will be taking centre stage at BIC on each night of the event.
On Wednesday evening, popular Bahraini singer Khaled Fouad will be getting the show underway while the following night, Dalia will be entertaining the crowd.
On Friday, which has been themed as “Bahraini Night”, the trio of Khamis Zuwayed, Mohammed Jomairi and Basel Ahmed will each be showcasing their traditional styles, which remain timeless.
That paves the way for Al Rowaishid’s show on the festival’s final day on Saturday.
Al Rowaishid is one of the most popular artists in the Arab world today. He has had a long and successful career that now spans over 30 years, and several top-selling albums to his credit.
Aside from the concerts, the country’s largest and most spectacular fireworks display marking National Day is set to highlight the festival. The fireworks will be held on Friday, starting at 7pm.
Furthermore, there will also be a traditionally styled shopping experience with plenty on offer, plus a corporate exhibition space, children’s activities and a play area, cultural shows, food and beverage outlets, and so much more.
Organised for the fourth successive year, the festival is a perfect platform to showcase what the business community has to offer in a social atmosphere.
