‘First National Wealth is Health’ Event in Bahrain

Your competition isn’t other people but the ill will you create, the health you sacrifice along the path and the knowledge that you neglect to learn. An outdoor public event focused on health awareness was held in memory of Ahmed Riyadh Al Rahma at Tala Island in Amwaj; organized by Polemaris Advisory Services in partnership with Tala Island.

National Day is a reminder for citizens on their responsibility towards their country. We believe that staying healthy can allow you to show patriotism and work for the nation at best. Hence an ever first Health Awareness festival was held on 14 December 2016, just before Bahrain’s National Day with a slogan “The first Responsibility to serve your country is to stay healthy”. It was sponsored by the Royal Charity Organization (RCO) and was officially opened by Yousif Al Yaqoub, Acting Secretary General of RCO.

Most of the reputed hospitals, clinics, dental centers, gyms and other companies showcased their latest products and services. The main participants were American Mission Hospital (AMH), Gulf Rubber Factory, Al Resala Medical Complex, Dr. Abber Alkobaisi COSM Plastic, Seef Dental, Serene Hospital, Koheeji Park, Dr. Lamya’s, Bahrain Medical Center (BMC), Haffadh Specialized Dental Hospital (HSDH), Dr. Hind Al-Fayez, Yoga and Sustainability Therapist, Daehsan Trading, Aqua Cool and Dr. Moh’d Jawad Al Alawi Dental Center.

Dental Clinics made presentation about Oral implantology and preventive dentistry to all attendees. Dental Centers also demonstrated to public, especially kids, the best way to clean and maintain their teeth. Hospitals provided other free services such as sugar and blood test, along with other consultations and recommendations in the Expo.

Physiotherapy, zumba dance and yoga sessions were also part of festival’s program. Fatima Al Mansoori took free session on yogic therapy. At the evening, Christmas was celebrated with full spirits by cutting the cake and family activities took place such face painting and gifts made to kids by Santa Claus.

The overall aim was that these are times to develop ways of looking at and assessing health issues that demand the nation nurture and development of their inherent richness and potential across the multitude of geographic, racial, cultural, socioeconomic, and developmental spectrums. This effort requires a shared vision from local communities through the highest levels of national government and should be treated as an urgent national priority.

“It was a very unique exhibition that created health awareness and sense of responsibility towards our beloved Bahrain, while creating togetherness and family fun throughout the day. This will continue for the memory of Ahmed Al Rahma, who spreaded hope, passion and ambition throughout his short life.” Hasan Riyadh Al Rahma – Managing Director of Polemaris Advisory Services.
