Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Hussain Ali Yateem Health Centre in Salman City

Attended by His Excellency Lieutenant General Dr Sheikh Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, A.M. Yateem Brothers announced the groundbreaking of the Hussain Ali Yateem Health Centre located in Salman City in the Northern Governorate. In line with its commitment to achieving the National Health Plan, the project aims to benefit the local community by introducing efficient, sustainable health services of the highest quality, in addition to catering to the needs of citizens and residents in the Kingdom.

The groundbreaking ceremony, which took place on 10 December 2023, was kicked off with a welcome note from Mr. Ali Hussain Yateem Chairman of A.M. Yateem Brothers, in the attendance of representatives from the company, the Supreme Council of Health and the Ministry of Health. The project aims to fulfil the needs of a large segment of locals and residents in the surrounding area, as well as provide them with high-quality services that will sustain the growth of the Kingdom’s healthcare system.

Upon its completion, the centre will span a built-up area of 12,218 sqm, and it will be equipped with a number of facilities that will include the latest treatments. The health centre will integrate several departments including; emergency, treatment, physical therapy, maternity and childcare, consultancy clinics, dentistry, and more, in addition to a parking lot for 209 cars, a reception area, and the capacity to serve 31,000 people.

On the occasion, His Excellency Lieutenant General Doctor Sheikh Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, expressed immense pride in the groundbreaking of the first health centre in Salman City, and commended the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also extended his gratitude to A.M. Yateem Brothers and members of the Yateem family for their generous initiative and resilient efforts, in addition to the various entities that continue to work tirelessly to achieve the objectives of the National Health Plan, in relation to the provision of comprehensive, high-quality health services in Bahrain.

On his end, Mr. Ali Hussain Yateem, Chairman of A.M. Yateem Brothers, said: “We have continuously embedded a social responsibility approach as we commence the groundbreaking of the health centre named after our late father Hussain Ali Yateem, in honour of his legacy and lifetime achievements. As such, we strive to establish a variety of health facilities that contribute to the development projects in the Kingdom. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his personal interest in the initiative, in addition to all the entities that have supported this project, first and foremost, Dr. Jalila bint Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, and His Excellency Lieutenant General Doctor Sheikh Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, as well as all members of the Ministry for their efforts in turning this idea into a reality that will serve the Bahraini community.”
