The Gulf Hotel hosts a participant group of “INJAZ Bahrain”

The Gulf Hotel’s management team has received a participation group of INJAZ Bahrain, the nonprofit organization that was established with the aim of empowering young people to own their economic success which will prepare them for today’s business challenges.

The group was hosted by the Gulf Hotels Group Chief Executive Officer Mr. Garfield Jones who is also a Board Member of INJAZ. Mr Jones was accompanied by Mr. Ron Peters, the Gulf Hotels Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hameed Ali, Deputy General Manager of the Gulf Hotel, Mr. Mahmoud Abd El Monem, Director of Human Resources & Development and a number of senior representatives from Human Resources Department of the Gulf Hotel.

The Gulf Hotels Group will be developing levels of performance, as well as focusing on attitudes and personal behaviors, this along with a series of group training sessions which will enhance the participant’s knowledge and help to prepare them for the emerging hospitality marketplace. In addition to these activities, The Gulf Hotels Group in collaboration with INJAZ Bahrain have conducted the Junior Achievement program ” Job Shadow” and this will provide interactive enrichment skills through a series of 121 sessions and practical hotel based activities designed specifically for the tourism and hotel industry.

Mr. Mahmoud has also expressed his thanks to the schools in Bahrain, namely AMA International School- Modern Knowledge, for their collaboration with the Group in providing their classes to train on this segment. During the visit, the group was given an extensive tour of the Gulf Hotels operational sections, including the front office, housekeeping, kitchens and main restaurants. During the visit an interview session was also held between the group and the hotel employees in relation to the nature and technical aspect of their work.

Both Groups unanimously agreed that the whole experience was extremely rewarding and this highly successful visit ended with a group lunch and presentation ceremony.
